NY Times Worst Selling Author

M. L. Tilford

Mike is a writer of all things funny. Whether it be Fantasy, SciFi, or Personal Essays, he really can’t help himself. He started writing in his teens (although what came out of those dark times can barely be considered writing), thinking himself the next great American author. It wasn’t for many years that Mike realized that he just wasn’t very good (between you and me, he still isn’t that great).

After reading authors such as Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and humorist David Sedaris, he realized that books could be funny. (I kid you not, that wasn’t even on his radar. Yeah, he’s that dumb.) He began writing once again, with comedy at the forefront, and everything just clicked. It’s hard to be a good writer when you are writing the wrong genre!

This wasn’t merely a place; it was a state of mind, a trip, a stellar joyride where reality was more of a polite suggestion, and the only rule was to throw
your hands up and embrace the glorious madness of it all.

Book 2 of the GigaVerse Trilogy

The revolution was supposed to be the hard part.

Linda Greyson and her crew of accidental rebels have thrown StellarGigs off their station, and now they’re free. Free to govern themselves. Free to build something better. Free to slowly starve to death, because it turns out overthrowing your corporate overlords is easier than feeding thousands of starving workers with no supply chain.

Cut off from the StellarGigs teleportation network, they need to find food, before all hell breaks loose. With Zorb barely holding things together on Station Prime, Linda, Glorp, Coco and GigChad must venture deeper into the station’s forgotten interior. They soon discover that the station is far larger, far older, and far stranger than anyone knew—and that StellarGigs built its empire on top of something it never understood.

But freedom has a shelf life. A recovery ship is on its way, and StellarGigs doesn’t send ships to negotiate. With the station tearing itself apart from the inside and annihilation approaching from the outside, the crew must unlock the station’s ancient secrets before time runs out.

Part space opera, part workplace satire, part found-family survival story—Through the GigaVerse is the second book in the series, and the revolution is just getting started.

I have a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, which is, admittedly, a bit embarrassing. The only real career path in that field is to get a PhD and become a professor, so you can teach the next generation more philosophy. It’s an eternal cycle of philosophers training...
